Business Aviation

Business aviation is a part of civil aviation, which includes the production, maintenance, and operation of n aircraft with has a capacity of up to 19 passenger seats which carries out passenger flights that are not conducted by the scheduled airlines.

The clients of business aviation are large corporations’ top managers, heads of State, Royal families, celebrities and ultra affluent individuals who can afford to order the aircraft and perform a flight according their own schedule and route.

Everything that is connected with business aviation is done at the highest level of exclusivity, safety and comfort.

Business Aviation Center

Business Aviation Center (FBO) is a complex consisting of Business Aviation Terminal, apron, aviation hangar for aircraft storage and maintenance and other units, engaged in servicing passengers, crews, and aircraft. Business Aviation Center provides a full range of services to clients starting from jet ordering to the aircraft maintenance by certified personnel.

General Aviation Terminal (GAT), Business Aviation Terminal, Executive Aviation Terminal

Business Aviation Terminal is a Terminal servicing only business aircraft and their passengers. It has borders with business aviation apron on one side and is not a customs zone on the other side. The passenger arrives at the parking place in front of the Terminal and follows the necessary procedures at the border and customs controls, goes from the Terminal to the aircraft, parked directly in front of the Terminal’s exit. Similar procedures apply with the passengers upon the arrival.

Having own Terminal is often not a profitable business, but it is an important part of complex’s infrastructure, and underlines the attractiveness of placing orders for maintenance of the aircraft and passenger flights.

At the airports that do not have Business Aviation Terminal (these are only ex-USSR countries in Europe with few exceptions), business passenger is serviced in VIP halls of a regular airport terminal.

In 2010, the European Parliament adopted Official Journal C 067 E 3/18/2010 p. 0005-0010 recommendations which state that business aviation passenger service is best to be performed through GAT (BAT), dividing business aviation passengers and regular airlines passengers’ flows.

Airport VIP hall

Airport VIP Hall is a passenger terminal with enhanced comfort, formerly known as Deputy Hall or Hall for officials and delegations, mainly used for regular airline passenger service.

Airport VIP halls provide: passenger registration, baggage delivery to/from aircraft, own customs and passport control, transport to/from the aircraft, the latest press, soft and hot drinks.

Business Aviation Terminal and Airport VIP hall

Regular airline passengers may use the regular terminal or for an additional fee the Airport VIP Hall.

But business aviation passenger has a right to choose and can order any of the existing terminals.

Business Aviation service requires an individual approach to each client. The Business Aviation Centre provides not only passenger-terminal-aircraft service, but it also has a large number of related aviation services at the highest level.

Business Aviation Terminal is one of the links in the chain of private air travel. Business passenger gets a full complex of services already leaving his home and going to his final destination.

Business Aviation means, first of all, comfort. Due to this fact, the private jet is offered not only comfort upon arrival/departure, but also other aviation services, such as aircraft base parking, hangarage, aircraft maintenance, as well as related services like exclusive catering on board, exterior/interior cleaning, etc.

The private jet owner expects the highest level of comfort and a full range of exclusive services.

One of the most important advantages of Business Aviation Terminal – is complete confidentiality. Business Aviation Terminal has limited visitor access.

Business Aviation Centers Around the World

Construction of Business Aviation Center means first of all the creation of a full range of necessary services, and then the relevant infrastructure.

Business Aviation in the USA exists for more than 40 years. There are 5400 airfields used for business aircraft. In comparison to regular airlines there are only 580 airports used for it in the United States.

For 30 years of its existence in this territory Business Aviation Centers are built in every European airport. However, none of these centers belong to the State. For example, there are 5 Business Aviation Centers in Geneva.

In former USSR countries, nowadays Business Aviation Centers are found in all Moscow airports and Riga. Business Aviation Center projects are already made for the next airports: St. Petersburg Pulkovo, Sochi, Kyiv, Astana, Almaty, Baku, Tallinn, Vilnius, etc. Gradually such centers will appear everywhere, due to business aviation segment is growing very rapidly.

FBO RIGA

FBO RIGA is a multi functional business aviation complex, located in Riga International Airport.

Business Aviation Center consists of very important component parts and Business Aviation Terminal is one of the most important. This attribute is required since it is the place where the client enjoys not only the option to go on board and spend time in a pleasant atmosphere, but also has a possibility to order a flight according his own route and schedule, order additional services as aircraft purchasing, maintenance, hangarage and repair.

P.S. The value of business aviation aircraft and its exploitation in ten times exceeds the price of Rolls-Royce automobile and relates to the same category of customers and even above.

If we talk about the possibility to build such a business aviation complex by the State then it should be considered the same as if the State would build a Rolls-Royce sales and maintenance complex on its account.
